Audit Tender Announcement

In the Annual Report and Accounts for the 52 weeks ended 13 September 2014, the Company noted its intention, in line with good governance practice, to put the external audit out to tender during 2015 with a view to a new firm being appointed to audit the financial statements for the year ending 17 September 2016.

This tender process has now been concluded and the Company intends to propose to shareholders, at the 2015 Annual General Meeting, the appointment of Ernst & Young LLP.

The chairman of the Audit Committee, Peter Smith, said: 'We thank KPMG for their strong contribution as the Company's auditors over many years and for the current year.  We look forward to working with EY for the 2015/16 financial year'.
